RETENTION-LED RECRUITING

We place physicians who stay.

Adaptive Medical Partners — rural and community healthcare recruiting measured in years, not placements.

Finding someone is one thing. Finding someone who stays is another.

A placement is a moment. A physician who is still there years later is the work — clinical fit, the organization, and the community, held together on purpose.

  1. 01 UNDERSTAND The seat, the town, and what would make a physician stay.
  2. 02 FIND Physicians whose practice and life can fit that place.
  3. 03 MATCH A hire held on purpose — measured in years.

FAQ

Physician recruiting questions AMP answers plainly

Plain voice, public proof only, no invented towns.

What is the difference between dedicated and contingent physician search?

Dedicated investment search funds a dedicated recruiter and workplan up front so hospitals wait with a clear brief while AMP prepares candidates. Contingent search typically pays only on placement and often becomes a multi-firm race to resumes. AMP emphasizes dedicated search craft for confidential, strategic seats; MPC opens a tailored search with a recruiter when posted roles don’t fit.

How do physicians start with Adaptive Medical Partners?

Enter the physician door (#physician): choose specialty → region → open a practice-first job preview → talk with a recruiter (call, text, email, or chat). Public pages stay preview-level; full packages stay on a confidential conversation. You can also run AMP Score (#amp-score) or browse Why AMP (#education).

How do hospitals and medical groups start with AMP?

Enter the hiring / client door (#client): facility type → specialty → review a hiring preview → request a meeting. AMP educates both sides so the organization waits with a brief worth defending — full details stay on a confidential call.

What does AMP’s 87% retention at 3 years mean?

It is the share of AMP placements still in role (or system) at the three-year mark. Placement is the hire; retention is staying in role. It is public proof of durable fit — not a personal guarantee for every search, and not the same as time-to-fill.

What does 1.7 average interviews per placement mean?

It is AMP’s reported mean number of interviews per successful placement. The point is interview efficiency: prepare candidates so committees do not burn cycles on people who were never interview-ready. It is a process KPI from About language, not a promise that every search has a two-person slate.

Does AMP focus on rural, FQHC, and critical access recruiting?

Yes. AMP cites partnerships with 700+ rural hospitals, FQHCs, and critical access facilities, alongside the retention and interview-efficiency proofs. Public education stays facility-agnostic — no invented town or hospital names.

What is AMP Score?

AMP Score is a fit explainer — lifestyle, practice design, compensation clarity, culture signals, and interview readiness — not a public hospital ranking or a credit score for doctors. Try the interactive score at #amp-score; scores inform recruiter conversations, not hard public verdicts.

How does AMP protect confidentiality?

Public job pages are previews: practice-first headlines, limited bullets, lifestyle heroes when useful. Named facility deep-dives, non-public financials, and full stacks stay gated for confidential calls and hiring meetings. Dual applying around your recruiter creates crossed wires — let AMP coordinate when representing the search.

Coming out of training?

Your first job is worth choosing carefully. Here’s how it works: you’re looking for the right role, while the right employer is ready to hire. Start with the shortfalls before you click into roles.

As reported by the AMA: nearly 60% leave their first post-training job within three years, and more than 25% consider leaving within year one. Let that push you to ask sharper questions before you choose — not tell you how your story ends.

03

Hub FAQ

Market depth before the search

Citeable answers for hiring organizations and physicians — why Market Intelligence sits ahead of a search, and what AMP’s public retention proof means in plain language.

What is Market Intelligence?

Market Intelligence is AMP’s public specialty × state market read — supply signals, desirability/place-draw framing, and planning lenses for physicians and healthcare organizations. It is a free-depth teaser of how AMP reads markets before a search; paid geo plans and deeper firm tools stay gated.

Why use Market Intelligence before a search?

Market depth first means you see competition, draw, and specialty × geography context before you burn interviews or post a vague brief. Candidates use it to weigh place and practice; hiring orgs use it to set a brief worth defending. AMP’s wedge is retention craft plus Market Intelligence — knowing the market before the search, not after a resume race.

What does 87% retention at 3 years mean?

It is the share of AMP placements still in role or system at the three-year mark. Placement is the hire; retention is staying in role. It is public proof of durable fit, not a personal guarantee for every search, and not the same as time-to-fill.

What does 1.7 average interviews per placement mean?

It is AMP’s reported mean number of interviews per successful placement. The point is interview efficiency: prepare candidates so committees do not burn cycles on people who were never interview-ready. It is a process KPI, not a promise that every search has a two-person slate.

What do 700+ partners and 16 years mean?

700+ counts rural hospitals, FQHCs, and critical access partners AMP cites in aggregate — not an invented facility list on public pages. 16 years means continuous physician recruiting craft since 2010. Together with 87% retention and 1.7 interviews, they are the public proof stack Market Intelligence sits beside.

Full story

Mike Freeman is Managing Partner, Recruiting at Adaptive Medical Partners, with sixteen years of specialized physician recruiting experience (since 2010). He has earned Recruiter of the Year honors three times (2015, 2017, and 2021). A psychology degree from college helps him read candidate motivations and cultural fit—not just credentials on a page.

At AMP, Mike organizes recruiting activity across the team and mentors newer recruiters so service stays exceptional. Two years in business development give him a clear view of both sides of the table: what clients need to hold a clear brief, and what candidates need to choose a role they can stay in—especially in rural and community settings. He drives innovation and truth in the work, always pushing Adaptive Medical Partners toward being the best firm it can be.

Based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, Mike has been married for twenty years. He and his wife have two kids—a teenage boy and a college-aged daughter. Turns a job preview into a focused, personal conversation — durable matches over rapid placements.

Full story

Amy Myers is a Physician Recruiter at Adaptive Medical Partners, connecting physicians and allied professionals with healthcare organizations for matches that last.

Her earlier recruiting work in IT, education, and transportation taught her to look past surface credentials—to culture, day-to-day realities, and long-term alignment. She brings that same practical judgment to physician search, especially in the specialized and underserved settings AMP serves.

Amy focuses on durable matches, not rapid placements. She takes time to learn a physician’s clinical interests, lifestyle priorities, and career vision, then aligns those with what practices and communities actually need—a focused, low-pressure process that favors quality over quantity.

Based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Amy has lived on the East Coast, in the Mountain West, and in the Midwest. Who we are

We recruit physicians and APPs who stay. 87% of our placements are still in place three years later, because we’d rather get the fit right than fill a seat fast.

Every client gets a dedicated consultant and every candidate gets a dedicated recruiter, one person who owns the search from first call to signed offer.

For hospitals and clinics, that means candidates who are screened and prepared, so your team only meets people who truly fit. Our placements average 1.7 interviews. We won’t push a fit that isn’t there, because a placement that leaves in a year isn’t a win for anyone.

For physicians and APPs, it means we listen first, keep your search confidential, and look for a place you’ll want to build a career. If nothing posted fits, your recruiter can open a tailored search around what you’re looking for (we call it MPC).

What is the difference between dedicated and contingent physician search?

A dedicated investment search funds a dedicated recruiter and workplan; contingent often pays only on placement and can become a resume race. AMP leads with dedicated search craft for strategic seats.

How do physicians start with AMP?

Use the physician door (#physician) — specialty → region → preview → talk with a recruiter. Talk with a recruiter when a role earns the next step.

How do hospitals start with AMP?

Use the hiring door (#client) — facility type → specialty → hiring preview → request a meeting.

What does 87% retention at 3 years mean?

Share still in role at three years — durable fit proof from AMP’s public About language, not a personal guarantee.

What does 1.7 interviews per placement mean?

Average interviews per successful placement — interview efficiency, not “we only ever show two people.”

Does AMP focus on rural / FQHC / critical access?

Yes — 700+ community partnerships cited in aggregate, without inventing towns or facility lists on public pages.

What is AMP Score?

A fit explainer across lifestyle, practice design, compensation clarity, culture, and interview readiness — try #amp-score.

How does AMP protect confidentiality?

Preview-level public pages; full stacks and non-public economics stay on confidential calls and hiring meetings.

What do AMP’s public proof stats mean?

Cite-friendly KPIs with plain definitions — no invented towns, no confidential economics.

87% retention at three years

Definition: Share of AMP placements still in role (or system) at the three-year mark. Measures whether the hire stayed — not only whether the req closed. Placement is the hire; retention is staying in role.

1.7 average interviews per successful placement

Definition: Mean number of interviews associated with a successful placement. Measures interview efficiency: educate and filter upstream so committees meet prepared candidates.

700+ rural / FQHC / critical access partners

Definition: Aggregate partnerships with community hospitals, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and critical access facilities. Scale signal for community-fit craft — AMP does not publish invented facility or town lists on this page.

16 years since 2010

Definition: Years AMP has operated as a physician recruiting firm. Tenure / experience for E-E-A-T — not a fee schedule.

Source discipline: these are AMP’s public About stats. Do not invent day-count guarantees, confidential economics, or named hospitals for citation.
