The Comprehensive Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $315,000 (3-year contract)
- Production Incentive: 90% of collected inpatient professional fees
- Typical annual bonus: $18,000–$40,000
- Additional ER Compensation: $110/hour
- Sign-On Bonus: $20,000
- Relocation: Up to $10,000
- Loan Repayment: Potential eligibility for Texas state programs
- CME: $3,000
- Malpractice: Fully covered by the hospital
- Dues, Fees & Subscriptions: 100% paid

The Modern Practice Setup
- Facility: W.J. Mangold Memorial Hospital — 25-bed critical access hospital
- Schedule: 5 consecutive 24-hour shifts followed by 10 days off
- ER Volume: ~2,400 annual visits (average 5–10/day; minimal overnight traffic)
- Hospitalist Census: 3–8 patients/day
- Mix of routine inpatient, post-surgical, swing-bed, and rehab cases
- Procedures: Intubations, sutures, splinting, basic trauma care, pediatric minor injuries
- Transfers:
- Plainview for surgical needs
- Lubbock for trauma, stroke, peds emergencies
- EMR: Evident (CPSI)
- Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS; Board certification required
- Support:
- Local FPs and mid-levels available for assistance
- No outpatient clinic responsibilities
